Completion of VDL T-DMB systems installation for Regional MBCs

SM CNS successfully completed installation of VDL T-DMB Head-end system packages for all 6 nationwide regional MBCs (Munhwa Broadcasting Coporation) - Busan, Daejeon, Gwangju, Andong, Jeju, and Chuncheon MBC.
Starting with Pusan MBC’s official on-air broadcasting from October, all the 6 MBCs have now all completed commercial on-air launches. “Its one box design allows us for more space, as well as easy operation and maintenance. Moreover, the system is extremely stable thanks to its design philosophy. We are deeply satisfied” said one of the regional MBC technical group leader. The outstanding stability of VDL multiplexer is verified for over 6 months of trial while the customers also express satisfaction with the data services such as TPEG service and the committed compatibility with the future Korea CAS system.
As announced earlier, the successful collaboration between SM CNS and VDL, its strategic global partner, allowed them to win the contracts known as the biggest single project in T-DMB in Korea. This success has also further boosted SM CNS position as a leading test solutions developer especially in the company’s international expansion. | |
